Stop Ear Ringing

by Ed

Tinnitus or ringing in the ears is a frustrating condition. It is also a very difficult one to treat. I have successfully treated it with acupuncture, but I have also had cases with little or no results. Even so, Chinese Medicine probably has a better success rate than Western Medicine. Here is a Chinese folk remedy you can try yourself. It often has excellent results.

According to Chinese Medicine, there are five main energy systems in the body. Each one is related to two internal organs, a sense organ, a tissue, etc. The one related to the kidneys is also related to the ears. So the folk remedy is to place ginger compresses on the back, over the kidneys. Boil handful of grated ginger in water for 15 minutes. Soak cloth in it and place on kidneys for 30 minutes. If you don’t know where the kidneys are, place the bottom of the cloth level with the navel. The cloth should be about four inches long (up the back) and about six inches wide, centered accross the spine. Try it every day for a week. if nothing else it’ll relax your back, and you may just get rid of that ringing in your ears.

I am going to try this but how long should i soak the cloth in the grated ginger?

Hi Laura, You don’t need to soak the cloth long. Since the water is permeated in ginger juice, just getting the cloth wet with it is good enough.

It would also be helpful to cover the cloth with a warm dry towel, or a heating pad. If you use a heating pad, put it on the lowest setting. You don’t want to overheat the back, just keep the wet cloth warm.

Good luck!

Thanks for this information. I do biofeedback and SRC work and have two clients that we just cannot seem to clear. Am going to forward this information, but also put it in an energy program and see what happens!
