Hi Sam,
Given your condition, I would strongly urge you to seek out a good qi gong teacher. The style of qi gong you are talking about is taught by B. K. Frantzis. You may want to check out his book, Opening the Energy Gates of Your Body: Chi Gung for Lifelong Health (Tao of Energy Enhancement)

Hi Ed-
I have adrenal fatifue from childhood trauma that played out in adulthood until I have been able to get a hold of it. bI am a psychotherapist, working part-time right now, and using only the energy therapies I am getting better. But I find patience is the key to getting well. I do qigong and have used many forms but the reason I write is I am looking for qigong that is gentle, that will open up the lower back and chest mainly holding positions over a period of time. I don't want to bring in Universal chi but instead use internal chi to help move the energy.
I guess I am looking for a way to tailor my needs
thanks
